EPW - Thomas Moss, Ludgate Street, London, lever fusee, 45mm, heavy 18K gold OF original consular case bearing London hallmarks for 1822, incuse casemaker’s "WW" marking, engraved band, gold fixed cuvette, multi-colored gold dial, KWKS, lever escapement with capped escape wheel, unjeweled lever, diamond endstone, 13J, gilt mvt, signed gilt locking dust-cap, s#6311 with matching serial number to dust-cap. Gross weight of assembled watch 57.8 dwt (89.9 g).
CONDITION:
Mvt: Running, excellent cosmetic mvt condition overall, some fine to micro-fine scratches, few specks of oxide to regulator; very near flawless dial has few very mild scattered fine surface scratches visible; fine hands; case shows ample wear, two dings to rear, small protruding ding to left perimeter of cuvette, only slight hints of past engine turning detail evident at shoulder edges; tight bow is thinning at top; good glass crystal.
